It now has five majors of logistics management, international shipping business management, container transportation management, traffic operation management, and highway transportation and management (transportation and travel); besides, it cooperates with Administration Bureau for Road Transport of Zhejiang Province to build a logistics training base which includes logistics sand table training room, logistics system simulation training room, logistics information processing training room and logistics practice training room.

Modern Logistics

Modern Logistics program is aimed at educating interdisciplinary talents with an integrated development of moral, intellectual, physical and aesthetical quality. Armed with the up-to-date scientific and technological knowledge of logistics, the graduates will be qualified to serve in the socialist modernization drive. The program prepares graduates for work which requires integrated knowledge of information technology and modern logistics technology, including marketing, material distribution, transportation organization, warehouse management and information exchange.

Graduates can fulfill logistics operation and management work in industries such as transportation, warehousing, third-part logistics enterprises, manufacturing and service enterprises. Also graduates are eligible for jobs such as logistics management, network management, information consultancy of logistics information enterprises and administrative institutions.

Basic Requirements

Love socialist motherland and uphold the leadership of the Communist Party of China. Have a fairly good knowledge of the principles of the Marx-Leninism, Maozedong Thought, Dengxiaoping Theory and the important concept of “Three Representatives”. Be patriotic, collectivistic, socialism-minded and with moral integrity.

Have the aspiration and sense of responsibility to devote to the socialist modernization drive, to serve the people, to struggle for the national prosperity. Adhere to the basic ethic code for citizens: love one’s own country and abide by the constitution and laws, be polite and trustworthy, solidarity and friendliness, frugality and self-dependence, be dedicated to one’s career.

Be pragmatic and industrious, and have a high sense of team spirit.Be innovation-minded and have good work ethics.

Know the basic physical exercise and military knowledge. Have the knowledge of body-building and a good habit of exercise and hygiene.

Theories of warehousing, transportation, distribution and international logistics

Knowledge about the operation and management of modern commerce, warehousing and transportation enterprises

Knowledge about e-commerce and information exchange

Knowledge about logistics technology, storage and delivery, distribution and forwarding service

Applied knowledge about business English and computer

Areas of Competency

Using relevant computer and logistics software

Be able to use computer network and information processing

Logistics operation, such as material transfer, storage and delivery, and distribution

Be able to handle problems arising from practical logistics operations

Be able to communicate in English and carry out business negotiations

Certificates Required

English Competency Certificate A or B

Computer Application Certificate Band I

Choose any one from the following: Modern Logistics Certificate, Customs Declaration Qualification Certificate, International Freight Forwarding Qualification Certificate, International Business Documents Operator Certificate
