On the morning of October 17, a delegation from the sister city of Jaén, Spain, led by Mayor Julio Milla Muñoz, visited the Changxing Campus of our institute. They were warmly received by Pan Guoqiang, Member of the institute Party Committee and Vice President; Wang Mingdong, Member of the institute Party Committee, Secretary of the Party General Branch, and Dean of the School of Intelligent Manufacturing; as well as Zhou Weiling, Vice County Mayor of Changxing County.
Accompanied by Vice President Pan Guoqiang, the delegation conducted an on-site inspection of key areas of the campus, including the training building, teaching building, and library. At the training center, which is equipped with an industrial robot virtual simulation training room and a new energy vehicle training room, the foreign guests paused to take photos and inquired in detail about the equipment configuration and teaching applications. They showed great interest in the campus’s advanced practical teaching conditions and distinctive focus on transportation equipment manufacturing.

During the subsequent symposium, Vice President Pan Guoqiang provided an overview of Zhejiang Province's transportation landscape, our institute’s schools and characteristic programs, international exchange and cooperation efforts, and future collaboration ideas. He emphasized that our institute is actively promoting international exchanges and looks forward to exploring collaborative opportunities with Jaén in the field of education.
Mayor Muñoz expressed his gratitude for the warm reception. He noted that Jaén, known as the "World Capital of Olive Oil," is actively promoting industrial diversification. He specifically shared the experience of the university of Jaén in disciplines such as electromechanics, artificial intelligence, and life health, and showcased artworks by local artists from Jaén. He highlighted the broad prospects for educational and cultural exchanges and cooperation between the two regions.
Vice County Mayor Zhou Weiling stated that this visit represents an important step in deepening vocational education cooperation between the two sides, following cultural exchanges initiated last year and the signing of the Intentional Agreement on Friendly Exchanges in June this year. The county government will actively support international cooperation between our institute and the local community.
During the meeting, participants exchanged views on program offerings, industry-academia collaboration, and practical training models in vocational education and skill development. They also explored feasible approaches for short-term teacher and student exchanges, language adaptation, and discussed preliminary ideas for mutual visits and establishing regular communication mechanisms.
This visit has established a dialogue platform for our institute and Jaén, Spain, in the field of education, laying a solid foundation for subsequent substantive cooperation. Our institute will seize this opportunity to continue expanding its international cooperation network and enhance its global engagement in education.
