This 3-year program helps students to acquire knowledge and skills in the operation, maintenance, repair, performance testing, and management of ship mechanical and electrical equipment, and fosters them to become high-quality workers and technical professionals capable of handling engine room management on ocean-going and coastal vessels that comply with the STCW78 convention.

Teaching facilities include comprehensive practical teaching bases, such as the Ship Automation Engine Room, the Large Ship Engine Simulator, the Ship Refrigeration Training Room, the Power Equipment Disassembly and Operation, the Simulated Ocean-going Ship and the Electrical Workmanship Training Room.
