Delegates from AeroTrain, a US-based solution provider for aircraft maintenance technician training, visited Aviation Department to discuss possibilities of cooperation.
As the first higher education institution in Zhejiang Province to have secured qualification to offer CCAR-147 training programme, our Aviation Department is now seeking to globalize what it can offer by negotiating cooperation with third-party solution providers. At the meeting, Mr. Pan, the principal of the department, and delegates from AeroTrain exchanged the basics about the two establishments and explored chances of collaboration. The delegates visited and assessed the facilities in the training workshops and laboratories with the company of the director and faculty staff of the aviation maintenance courses. “It is the best you can offer,” commented Mr. Qamar Ahsan from the delegation.
Federal Aviation Regulation (FAR) and International Aviation Safety Assessment (IASA) are among the most internationally recognized aviation maintenance standards. CCAR-147 is the regulation introduced by the Civil Aviation Administration of China on maintenance personnel training and programme management. By bring the collaboration on the negotiating table, our Aviation Department aims to upgrade the training programmes towards higher standards and wider acknowledgment, so that our students will be readily capable to work for foreign employers with both domestic and internationally recognized qualifications.
