On January 8th, Zhejiang Communications Polytechnic welcomed the visit of a delegation from Southern University College of Malaysia. The purpose of this visit and exchange was to further deepen educational cooperation between the two schools and jointly explore new opportunities for cooperation in the fields of Business English, Logistics Management, and Digital Trade.
During the symposium, Rong Cheng, a member of the school’s Party Committee and Dean of the School of Intelligent Transportation, expressed a warm welcome to the delegation from Southern University of Malaysia and introduced the general situation and educational philosophy of our school, emphasizing the core role of digitalization in the transformation and upgrading of transportation services. Zheng Huijin, Vice Chairman of Southern University of Malaysia, Director Hong Qingfang, and Vice President Liang Longguang detailed the development history, geographical location advantages, and major settings of Southern University College.
Zhang Chengquan, Dean of the School of Transportation Management, expressed the college’s vision for international development in the cultivation of professional talents in logistics and Business English, hoping to strengthen international cooperation and exchange, and cultivate high-quality technical and skilled talents with an international perspective. Yuan Daofu, Director of the Academic Affairs Office, shared the school’s achievements in international exchanges and cooperation, and proposed suggestions such as increasing teacher visits, student exchanges, credit recognition, international academic interaction, and the joint construction of a China-Malaysia Alibaba Business School by the two schools, to enhance the level of professional internationalization.
The two sides had an in-depth discussion on cooperative educational projects, covering multiple aspects such as student exchange, teacher exchange, course co-construction, and professional certification. They explored cooperation models such as joint courses, teacher training, and overseas study programs for students to jointly promote academic exchanges and improve the quality of education.
This exchange visit not only deepened the mutual understanding between the two schools but also laid a solid foundation for future cooperation. Zhejiang Communications Polytechnic looks forward to carrying out more cooperation with Southern University of Malaysia in the fields of professional construction and talent cultivation, and jointly promoting the international development of education.
